What I’m doing now
This is a Now page.
Right now, I’m focused on exploring how generative AI can improve workflows, enhance team efficiency, and refine the tools we rely on. I dedicate about 80% of my time as Competence Lead at Aava & Bang, creating user-focused digital solutions and working closely with clients and team members to streamline processes. The rest of my time, as Head of Digital at Stolt Running, is spent refining our digital strategy and enhancing the online experience for our award-winning commuter backpacks.
This focus also drives my personal projects, where I explore the creative and practical applications of AI, blending technology with storytelling and design to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Recent milestones
Here are a few milestones that highlight my journey and learning in AI and digital solutions.
Earned the IBM AI Developer Professional Certificate.
Conducted AI training sessions for diverse clients.
Experimented with tools like Bolt.new, Cursor, Replit, v0 by Vercel, Claude AI Agents, Midjourney, Runway ML, and the OpenAI API for creative and technical applications.
Contributed to Stolt Running’s Alpha Backpack marketing efforts, which helped the product earn the title of Best Gear of 2024 by Runner’s World.
What I’m Learning
I’m refining my machine learning knowledge to better understand how data-driven models can enhance user experiences, from behavior prediction to personalized recommendations. I’m also diving into advanced API usage, exploring how to seamlessly integrate AI capabilities into workflows to boost efficiency and interactivity. At the same time, I’m exploring ethical design principles to ensure the tools I develop are fair, transparent, and human-centered.
Recently read
I draw inspiration from a wide range of topics, including physics, technology, and storytelling. Here’s a selection of books I’ve recently read, along with some key takeaways:
Remembrance of Earth’s Past by Liu Cixin
Explored the complexities of human decision-making in the face of advanced technology and existential threats.
Seven Brief Lessons on Physics by Carlo Rovelli
A beautifully concise journey through the fundamental principles of physics, sparking curiosity about the fabric of the universe.
Light in the Darkness: Black Holes, the Universe, and Us by Heino Falcke
A reflection on the science and humanity behind black hole research, reminding me of the power of curiosity and perseverance.
Permanent Record by Edward Snowden
An eye-opening perspective on privacy, ethics, and the role of technology in shaping our freedoms.
On Time and Water by Andri Snær Magnason
A poetic yet urgent call to action on climate change, blending science, history, and personal stories.
Life in the Cosmos by Avi Loeb
Pondered the potential for extraterrestrial life and how scientific curiosity drives innovation.
A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson
A delightful exploration of science’s big questions, providing a holistic view of how we came to understand the world. Despite several updates to scientific knowledge since its publication, this book remains a fascinating exploration of the big questions in science. It offered me valuable insights into a wide range of fields—chemistry, paleontology, astronomy, and particle physics—while sparking a deeper curiosity about the interconnectedness of scientific discovery and human understanding.
What’s next
I’m focused on integrating generative AI into real-world projects that drive business value and improve user experiences. From refining digital strategies to developing AI-driven tools for e-commerce and product development, I’m exploring how emerging technologies can enhance efficiency and deliver meaningful results. I’m also eager to collaborate on innovative projects that combine design, technology, and a user-centered approach to solving complex challenges.
